Stencyl SDK Is Now Available For GameAnalytics

We're excited to announce that we have added the Stencyl SDK to our collection!

Editor’s note: Please be aware that we have now deprecated this SDK and this engine/environment is no longer supported. If you have any questions about this change, please contact our support team.

Earlier this year, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Stencyl to our collection of SDKs. Stencyl is a powerful engine for everyone, from beginners to pro game devs, and has a focus on 2D games.

This is now the 19th SDK we’ve released, and definitely won’t be the last. Our goal is to provide analytics to all game developers out there, so you can expect to see more quality engines on our list. Just like all of our other SDKs, we’ve made this integration process as quick and simple as possible. If you find yourself needing more information however, you can check out the dedicated documentation for the Stencyl SDK here.

Want to download the SDK? No probs, you can download it on Github here.

Stencyl SDK 1

About Stencyl

Described as a Game Studio in a box, Stencyl is designed to help developers create 2D games across all devices. What’s specifically great about this engine is that they take care of all of the essentials, letting developers focus on what’s important – making their game.

This engine allows users to easily drag and drop items, and pays homage to the successful MIT Scratch project. They extend Scratch’s simple block-snapping interface with new functionality and hundreds of ready-to-use blocks.

Similar to Adobe Photoshop, their tool ‘Scene Designer’ allows you create worlds while using familiar features, such as a selection tool, zooming, grid-snapping and flood fill. All of which will help you quickly craft complex worlds out of Actors, Tiles and Terrain.

Don’t worry however if you’re more of an experienced developer and prefer writing your own code. Stencyl has an option which lets power users create and share their own blocks, extend the engine through code, import libraries and write their own custom classes that interact seamlessly with block-based behaviors.
