Trending Games and Global Hits has arrived to Benchmarks+

They say good things come in twos. We’re thrilled to introduce you to two new dashboards in our latest Benchmarks+ product release. Here are the details.

Product update: Benchmarks+ is now a part of GameIntel (25th May 2021)

We’ve launched GameIntel, a new and improved mobile intelligence offering which from today will be the new home for Benchmarks+. There’s a ton of new features, functions, and capabilities you can dig into here. You can find all of the details about it here. And in case you missed it, we now have more hyper-casual sub genres in our tool, too.

Update from 10th march 2021:

Our data chefs have been hot in the Kitchen, and the next order is up. This week, we’ve launched two new main courses; our Trending Games and Global Hits dashboards. These new features will help you see which games have been climbing and falling in the charts, and which ranking position the top hit games have across each key country.

Let’s dig into the details.

What’s new in version 3.3.1

Introducing our first course in this update, Trending Games, a super handy dashboard that gives insight into which games have been climbing (or falling) most rapidly in the iOS App Store. And the side dish? Well, you can sort these games by their performance over a few different time periods, including the last 24 hours, 7 days, and the last 30 days.

Mobile Trending Games

With this update, you can now keep track of your competitors and your own games in the App Store. But what’s even better, is that you can identify the new rising stars, before they actually hit the top of the charts.

How to get started:

Head on into either your free or paid account, and simply navigate to the Market Insights tab to access this new dashboard.

Global Hits dashboard

Our second course is Global Hits. It’s another brand new dashboard where you can explore the top 20 hit games across every major country, all on a single convenient and interactive view. With options to filter by category, date, and chart type, you can drill down and explore the worldwide top performers and globally trending genres.

What else is new in version 3.3.1

  • 40,000 more sub-genres added (total tagged games ~140k)
  • Updated main menu and navigation for ease of use
  • Improved caching, with quicker image loading
  • Several bug fixes and performance improvements

Existing users – clear your cache

We’ve pushed a bunch of fixes in our tool in this update. So if you currently use our tool, then we’d recommend you clear your browser cache before you next log in.

In case you missed it

A lot has changed over the last couple of months. You can catch up with the major updates in our last release, but here are the highlights:

  • We released Game Explorer: where you can discover new games across the app store for genre, sub-genre, game performance, specific app info, and even publisher info.
  • We added the ‘App release log’: so now you can see a specific game’s typical release schedule.
  • We improved our searching capabilities.
  • And much more.

What’s coming next?

Hopefully you saved some space for even more. We have plenty more updates coming your way, with a pretty big announcement hitting Benchmarks+ in just a few week’s time. As always, keep your eyes peeled for updates. But for now, head on in to get started with our new dashboards.
