Get better insights using our new Metrics API
Today, we’ve released our Metrics API. Using it, you’ll be able to automatically pull key metrics from all your games to build customized portfolio views and get new insights into how your portfolio is performing.
Large publishers and studios often use our software to analyze tens or hundreds of games. While you can garner a lot from looking at each game separately, it’s also handy to compare and sort your games by specific metrics. For instance, you can compare retention D1 and D7 across all games launched in the past month, or the sum of new users from all your titles.
So our Metrics API lets you plug all your data into your other tools, including internal systems: like data visualization programs, for example.

But for now, here are a few ways you might use the Metrics API.
Query the essential filters
Using the API, you’ll be able to drill down into the most common and useful dimensions from your GameAnalytics dashboard. For example, you could see how many new customers you’re getting from each country every day, for every game at once.
Build custom dashboards and reports
Each team could have their own custom dashboard. For instance, your QA team could track the number of critical errors per title. Your producers could monitor IAP revenue per title region. And your live ops team could monitor changes in playtime across games with live campaigns.
Monitor the health of all your titles
Know exactly when a build is not as popular with players. The easiest way to keep an eye on the success of new releases is to spot the outliers, so get a breakdown of the retention across your builds automatically, and see how it looks over the last day, week, or month.
Combine metrics across tools
We give you insight about your games, but you’ve got different tools looking at other aspects of your business, like your ads or your marketing. So link them up. For example, you could see your retention and new users alongside your cost-per-impression or your app store ranking.
